“I have been serving the community for many years to help feed and clothe the homeless and families at shelters. I proudly serve on the board of Feeding Students USA in the ongoing effort to end childhood hunger in the US.”

Susie is an entrepreneur and an active community member. She recently launched Blink Mattress, a custom mattress retailer and in 1996 had previously launched another mattress business that has flourished to 22 stores in three states. She is also a co-owner in a production company and a franchisee of a barter company. During her reign as 2016 Ms. Arizona State, Susie’s platform was bringing awareness to childhood hunger within the United States and advocating for programs to help families in immediate need. Her commitment and dedication earned her the President’s Volunteer Service Award from President Obama.

Susie enjoys spending time with her three children, active in the Mesa Public Schools PTO (served as Vice President for 3 years), and lives and active lifestyle.
